Probably my favorite book

Date of Review: Mar 5, 2008

The Bottom Line:  I recommend this book to all women because it is uplifting, challenging, and entertaining.
I loved this book so much. I got it through the library but I will be buying it soon. The book does have the three different journeys that could read as separate books. This book digs at inner healing and spiritual expansion. I laughed a lot with the book. There were 242 holds on this book at the library I borrowed it from. That tells you how popular the book is and how many other people are recommending it to others. I think this book speaks specifically to women but I think a man would grow from reading the book. The middle section of the book was slow reading and I need to reread it to fully absorb everything it has to offer. I do hope the author writes a follow up novel to entertain and educate us some more. I loved this book after the very first two pages and then I slowed my reading down so that it would last. The author is very real and honest. She writes thing that many of us have felt at some point but may not have been able to articulate. The character development was deep and entertaining. Since I lived in Italy in the past I thought her description of the senses and feelings in the country were outstanding! It described my experiences too.
