Definition of the American Dream

I read this book because it fit into the topic of a major essay I was writing: The American Dream. However, I had no idea of the depth and truth it would eventually show about the American Dream, and what is/was wrong with what people considered the pinnacle of it. I am a fan of Arthur Miller's plays, which is always a plus. I must admit, the the dialogue of Loman do get somewhat confusing, but in my opinion, this just adds to the character of the book. He is supposed to be mentally falling apart; what he says and does just prove it. This play is a quick read as well, one could easily finish it in one sitting if enough time is provided. Although I read this book because of its relavance to the American Dream, its a book I will definitely read again...just for fun.
