Good book, but that great?

Date of Review:  Jun 16, 2004
The Bottom Line: Borrow it from a library and see if you like it - you probably will, but I wouldn't buy it very hastily.
Review: After being urged to read it by several friends, I borrowed the book from my uncle, sat down, and read The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. Although it is a good book, I wonder if it is worth all the hype it is receiving.

The plot is an...

The Da Vinci Code: Exhibit A Why Hype Sucks For Books Too

Date of Review:  Jun 27, 2004
The Bottom Line: The Da Vinci Code is good enough escapist literature, but don't think while reading it: that removes the point.
Review: Over the past few years, I've tried to keep up my reading habit, with minimal success. But lately, I've had more success than not, thanks to my discovery of Harlan Coben. And so, since Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code came so highly recommended, what...

The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown

Date of Review:  Oct 20, 2009
Review: This book was read as a precursor to watching the film, and like almost all films they can never live up to the picture that your imagination paints when reading a novel.
