Pros: Fast-paced and suspenseful
Cons: Ending a bit muddled
The Bottom Line: If you are already nervous about flying, don't read this book!
Review: I usually don't like books that take place in the matter of a few days, since often times the plot is very weak. However, that was not the case with this book by John J. Nance. From beginning to end, the plot moved crisply along, with very little pause...

Pros: Well-crafted, well-written
Cons: some of the characters are just a tad too talented
The Bottom Line: This book will give you a look at some frightening technology.
Review: This is one scary book, even if some of the action and characters seem just a bit unbelievable, a little too death-defying, a little too talented to be real people or events.
"Blackout" gives us two heroes, not one, both of whom manage... |

Review: What can one say about this book but "WOW"!! After reading so many duds lately it was nice to read a book that was entertaining and interesting. John J. Nance has done an incredible job with "Blackout". It will be difficult to...

Pros: Very good for teen boys, young men. Great for book reports.
Cons: Felt like a virtual non-stop video game
The Bottom Line: Buy it for your teenage boys. They need book report material.
Review: I love action books and a good spy thriller is even better. This book has them both and even adds another of my favorites, airplanes and air disasters. It moves very fast; there's a new twist or fresh disaster waiting around every turn. Just when you...

Pros: Interesting premise; good writing; good suspense
Cons: The author is some kind of sadist....
Review: Who finally survives Nance's morbid predations? Actually, I don't know. I read about two-thirds of this book, then gave it up. The story is good. Nance is a good writer: he keeps you interested. However, I have one really major problem with Nance's...
