Simple, easy mower

Pros: No gasoline hassle, sparkplugs, or oilchanges; cleaner; domestic energy; quiet; easy start & storage
Cons: Narrower cut, managing cord takes a little effort
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this mower to any healthy person whose grass (less than 40,000 SF) is all within 150 of an outlet.
Review: Review 19 August, 2004: I recently moved into a house with about 10,000 SF of grass, so I needed a mower. Knowing that gasoline mowers produce significant amounts of pollution (see note 1 at the bottom), I wanted an electric mower. The natural gas ...

Pros: minimal maintenance, no gas/oil, 19" blade
Cons: suitable only for small lawns, cord dictates your cutting path
The Bottom Line: Consider it only if your lawn is small. Purchase it if you don't want to deal with gas/oil and/or your environmentally conscious.
Review: Electric vs. Gas
I'm a new home owner and for the first time had to worry about mowing a lawn. I wanted to purchase a lawn mower that would require minimal maintenance and one that fit my budget. My lawn is small less than 1/2 acre so cord... |

Pros: Ease of use, adjustable height lever, and it mulches.
Cons: Like any electric mower... the cord can irritate you.
The Bottom Line: It does what I want it to-it mows without gas, oil, or hassle. Easy to operate!
Review: When we went to Home Depot, we were looking for a specific kind of mower. One I could handle all on my own without needing my husband to do a thing. You see, he felt I should mow the front yard since I designed it and I'm the one who keeps it up. I ...

Pros: Easy to use (no gas/oil), good power on my tall fescue, great ht. adjustment.
Cons: getting used to the electrical cord.
The Bottom Line: This mower was completely put together in the box. No tools were required. I used it the same day I bought it and it was so easy to use.
Review: I replaced my other electric mower with this mower. This one is heavier but this one has a grass catcher bag. I am very happy with the performance of this mower even on my tall fescue even when it gets to be about 3-4" tall. It is very easy to use and I...

Pros: No fuel, oil, priming, pull-starts, plugs, filters, rust, vibration, noise, pollution, or back strain
Cons: Just need to be mindful of the power cord
The Bottom Line: If you're ready for a modern mower that's quiet, light, powerful and easy on the budget, try a Lawn Hog. Don't let cord-phobia keep you in the dark ages.
Review: Picked up the 19" Lawn Hog at Lowes. It was the same price at Home Depot ($229). Assembly was just unfolding the handle (Where's the fun in that?). The deck and housing feels like PVC, so it won't chip or rust. Underneath, it's smooth and molded ...

Pros: Instant starting, quiet, no gas/oil.
Cons: Electric cord can be cumbersome.
The Bottom Line: A powerful, maneuverable, quiet, and durable lawn mower which will NEVER run out of gas and NEVER be difficult to start!!!
Review: This electric lawn mower is an excellent alternative to gas models DEPENDING on the layout of your lawn.
Let's start off with the PRO's: Somewhat surprisingly, I have found this mower to be quite powerful and more than capable of... |

Pros: No lubrication, no gas can to store. Easy to store in a small space.
Cons: It's difficult to push the electric cord through the holder.
The Bottom Line: I recommend this mower for anyone. It is lightweight, easy to start, easy to push. No lubrication at all. No worry about gas explosions in a hot shed.
Review: When I got tired of trying to get someone to do my lawn when it needed it, I decided to buy my own mower. Being a senior citizen, I needed something lightweight. I did research on line and in stores before I decided on the Lawn Hog MM875. It was so ...

Pros: Quiet, odorless, excellent ergonomy, easy to push
Cons: Maneuvering the cable, wheels are a tad small
The Bottom Line: I recommend it for those who can't stand 2-stroke noise and stench and don't mind the hassle of a cable
Review: When we moved to our new (very old) house with a big lawn we knew that we wouldn't be able to maintain the yard with our reel-mower. But I cannot stand the noise and stench from two-stroke mowers terrorizing our neighborhood, so I looked for an ...

Pros: Environmentally friendly, affordable, plenty of power, easy to use and maintain
Cons: Cord is a hassle and can't use on wet grass
The Bottom Line: This is a great machine for small lawns - easy to use and to maintain, affordable, effective and environmentally friendly. Cord is the main drawback.
Review: I'm a first-time homeowner and when I bought my first lawnmower, I specifically wanted an electric mower to be more environmentally friendly. The MM875 fits that bill and works great on my small lawn. The MM875 has several selling points. The environme ...

Pros: light, no fumes, folds for easy storage, rust free housing, no winterizing.
Cons: Can't leave it outside during the summer, bag seemed small
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this, the ease of use alone is enough to say that. But saving time and money over a gas mower takes the cake, well worth every penny!
Review: Springtime arrived, and like normal starting the mower was an issue. I pulled it from the basement, cleaned the carb, filled the gas, filled the oil, changed the plugs, and pulled the string until my arm nearly fell and it still wouldn't start. I ...
