Mmmm Good Rice

My mom got this rice cooker as a gift and I always used to cook rice in it when I was home. It definitely does its job. I've found it is also really good for steaming veggies. Try asparagas, it is to die for coming from this thing.

The timer is the main thing on this rice cooker. You'll need to learn about this before you try to master cooking rice in this cooker. It has a little sticker guide on the back that tells you approx. cooking times. With rice, the first time I cooked it I had no idea how long it would take and I opened it about 10 to see if it was done and that slows the process way down. Just go by what it says and it seems to cook perfectly every time.

This rice cooker is very easy to use. All you do is just put water in the bottom up to the top of that grey heating element, and put the dish in the machine which doubles as a serving dish with handles! Then put the lid on and set the timer. It will do it's thing, no stirring required on your part.

Clean up is a snap with this thing. All you have to clean is the bowl and lid and after use and wipe the whole machine down so there is no calcium build up from the heated water.

This would be a great shower or wedding gift.
