The Snake Light Flashlight, by Black & Decker, would make a great Christmas gift for that "hard to buy for" man in your life. I find it extremely difficult to purchase presents for my husband because if he wants something he simply goes out and buys it. That can make gift giving a challenge, to say the least! I bought him a Black & Decker Snake Light for Father's Day, and it is a gift he really appreciates and gets a lot of use out of.
What is A Snake Light?
It is a flexible flashlight, but so much better than a regular flashlight! It is great for when you are working on a project and you need both of your hands! It has three rows of very bright LED lights, 14 of them work with the Snake portion, and 3 work with the detachable hand held flashlight portion.
The LED bulbs are extremely bright, and it has done a very good job of illuminating any area we've used it in.

How We Have Used The Snake Light
We have a four foot crawl space under our house, and the lighting down there is quite poor. We had to crawl down there to re-duct the vent from our dryer, and the Snake Light was extremely helpful. My husband has also used it in small spaces, like when he installed a new bathroom sink for me, and when he had to work on a leak under the kitchen sink. We have used it many times when the power has gone out, and my hubby has even used it for working on the car. The possibilities are endless!
When using it for working under the sink, you can drape part of it over the cabinet door, and flex the hose to light up the area you are working on. You can also drape it over your shoulder to shine it on a project that has your hands all tied up. You can coil it (as a snake) into an upward position, and it will form it's own stand. The hose is so flexible you can even wrap it around a pipe!
The Snakelight is very bright and powerful, and it will work for up to five hours! It even comes with the needed C batteries. The LED's have a tough clear cover, and according to Black & Decker, they are shatter proof and break resistant.
This version is an upgrade on Black & Decker's first Snake light, which was rechargeable with a mountable base to hang it up. The original was completely black, while this model is black and orange. The new model also allows you to detach the bendable neck, you pull the base off of one end, and the light off of the other, and snap them together - so it's really two flashlights in one. The voltage is 3 watts, and the LED lights never need to be replaced!
The power on/off switch is a large button that's easy to reach, right in the front of the handle. This cordless flashlight would be ideal for anyone, but especially great for the home, car, boat, motorhome, or for power failures. It's like having a second set of hands when you have a roadside emergency!
Conclusion
The Snakelight can be purchased at Home Depot stores for around $30.00. This is one gift that any guy should enjoy ... I even get to use it once and a while! Christmas is next month, so see if you can find this for your husband, father, or other male relative!
