Bad Toaster

We thought this would be the perfect toaster to replace our similar Black & Decker which broke after 10 years. It has a simple operation, a timer, is small and looks unobtrusive and does not have fancy features we did not want to pay for. However, it took forever to make a piece of toast. This may be because it has 2 elements instead of 4. It also smoked and created a burning smell and got hot as hell just making 2 slices of toast. In short, it was disappointing and we're returning it after one day on the job.
