Carpet Cleaner does wonders!!

I live in a small apartment with two young children and my husband. Our carpet is a light gray, not by choice. With two young boys spills are a daily occurrence in our home, we spill juice, soda, food, everything you can imagine.

My husband and I were thinking of renting a cleaner when we came across this one at Sears. It was on sale and we thought if we ever got a house it would come in handy. We were amazed at how clean it got our carpets. Stains that had been there for over a year came out with ease.

The cleaner was easy to put together and use. My husband and I took turns and I was amazed at how easy it was to use and how clean our carpets got. The model that we got is just for carpets, thickness of the carpet will just require you to go over it more than once. Our particular model is not for hardwood floors but I believe there is an attachment you can buy that will allow you to do that, otherwise the next model up does come with that attachment for hardwood floors.

The actual machine takes about 5 minutes to warm up and there is a indicator light on the unit. There is a small plastic bottle in the front and you fill it up to the line with the cleaning liquid. There is also a large plastic unit in the back which you fill with clean warm tap water, the machine actually does heat up the water so it's not really necessary to put hot water in but by putting warm water in it heats up faster.

They are both very easy to take in and out of the unit and they give you a specific line so you know how high to fill it. One nice thing is if you run out of the cleaning liquid or the water the machine will not work until you refill it, this way it doesn't waste the other liquid. Depending how large of an area you have to clean you will have to empty the dirty water and refill it with clean water, and you probably will have to refill the cleaning solution.

The unit also has a row of lights which tell you if you are moving the cleaner over the carpet too fast. You need to take your time going over the carpet to insure you are getting the dirt out. I would definitely recommend this product.

The Bissel ProHeat Pro-Tech also comes with a few attachments. One is to clean your furniture, one is for regular carpet, and one is for tough stains. They are all really easy to attach and take off when done. To clean them you just run them under tap water. We were even able to clean our furniture the furniture attachment and you can also scotch guard your furniture and your carpet.

This nice thing about this model is it is the same size as a regular vacuum which is nice for us because we don't have much space.
