A Heavy Vacuum, but with Heavy Results

The Bottom Line: If you can carry it or don't have multiple floors, this model is certainly worth considering. It appears to be well made, performs well, and is moderately priced.
Review: Prior to this vacuum, we limped along with a clumsy but perfectly functioning Dirt Devil. In other words, it performed reasonably well as a vacuum, but everything else about it had great potential for bringing colorful language to the surface...

Bissell v. Dyson - Side by Side match

The Bottom Line: Bissell 5770 is a worthy choice in place of Dyson Animal. Unless you are hung up on having trendy name brands or overpaying, the Bissell holds its own.
Review: My boyfriend has a Dyson Animal, which I borrowed and loved. Certainly a great machine. I went to buy one for myself, and saw the Bissell 5770 for $250. I got to wondering what made the Dyson worth double that price, so I bought the Bissell.

This Vacuum Sucks! But In A Good Way!

I definitely recommend this vacuum for its great suctioning power and the ability to move from carpet to bare floor relatively quickly.  You may never touch your broom again.
