Quick clean up for kitchen, etc

Purchased this about 10 days ago. Received it. After opening box I assembled it.  On the body of the vacuum there is a lever that you pull down.  Insert the handle into the hole, lift the lever back in place. That holds the handle in.  Next you have to attach the vacuum foot.  On the front is a button that you push up to turn the vacuum on.  It's noisy but not as bad as the previous one I had. It is lightweight and doesn't drag as you move it to clean. It sucked up hair, dirt and small particles very quickly.  I vacuumed one of the small area rugs and didn't have any problem.  It can be used on the wall-to-wall carpet for quick spot vacuuming. To empty the dirt from the vacuum there is another button on the front of the machine that you push down and pull the dirt cup towards you.  There is a filter on the body of the vacuum that you can clean off, then empty the dirt cup, replace it, then let the button snap back into place.  All done.  I can't complain about the length of the cord because I have quite a few electrical outlets in my kitchen. The cord is a good length for cleaning both bathrooms, the foyer and the area rugs.  I'm very pleased with this product.
