I bought this game because it was cheap, and because the cover art cracked me up. It's not the best gameboy game ever, but it is rather hilarious to play.
The basic idea is that you are a big fat redneck who wants to win the heart of his trailer trash girlfriend. You control Billy Bob as he moves around from the huntin' areas to the fishin' areas. There are many different types of games to play to win bait or bullets, and then you get to go out into the field or lake to try and catch either an animal or fish. The theory being that the more animals that you kill the greater the love of your girlfriend will be toward you.
Despite the absurdity of the concept, it actually makes for a rather enjoyable game. The sheer fun of controlling a bumbling fat redneck is greater than you might imagine, as well as being pretty fun to watch, some of the mini games where you get your ammo and bait as well as your huntin' and fishin' licenses are rather enjoyable. The scenes where you are actually hunting or fishing can be rather difficult, but still are rather fun, especially when you get the ranger trying to catch you without a license.
This game is rather simplistic, but there is a bit of reading to do, so it would not be ideal for very small game players, but for those who are about 7 or 8 I think that this game might be very fun. Even for people like me who are 24, it can be rather fun. Worth a look, although not a classic. 3 and a half out of 5 stars
