Product Review

My favorite show!

Pros:  The show is a bona-fide classic

Cons:  Same old episodes released for the umpteenth time

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

It just doesn't get any better than Bonanza! This show has something for everyone--action, adventure, romance and comedy. Judging by the internet fan groups, most fans are now women, but it used to have a very large portion of male fans. However, as a woman, I can say that it is great to watch a show about men who aren't afraid to stand up for what is right, speak out for injustice and oh by the way, look hot while doing it (in the case of Little Joe) ;-)

Unfortunately, Bonanza's checkered video release history continues with this long awaited "official" DVD. Its merely the same episodes most of us already owned in three different versions on VHS--and these are not the finest ones of the series by any means. For such a classic show, it has certainly been treated like trash when it comes to video releases.

If you dont have the VHS versions, this is worth buying I guess but I wouldnt spend a lot on it unless you simply MUST have the DVD. Otherwise, get a DVD burner and catch it on TVLand.
