As a piano technician, I recommend this model. Keeping the humidity at 40-45% is effective for keeping more stable tunings and, since the dry heated air in winter dries out the piano's wood parts, it is effective at keeping the piano from further problems due to wood parts shrinking away from each other.

This type of humidifier is easy to use, easy to clean, and I've never heard a single complaint about reliability. I have one myself and it is still running for many years of steady use. I have seen clients humidifiers, even older than mine, still going strong.

The digital humidistat means you can set the humidity level where you want it without needing a hygrometer to judge the actual humidity in the air. The unit does it for you and adjusts itself to keep the humidity level where you set it.

Two refillable bottles and a large reservoir means you won't be refilling as often as a smaller unit.

Clean the machine at the end of the season and throw the filters away. Replace the wicking filter and the air filter once a year.
