Bel 995 has POOR photo radar detection!

The Bottom Line: Avoid by all means! Your eyes will detect a photo radar van before this! Look for BEL 980 via EBAY auction. My next try will be a valentine one.

Great detector

The Bottom Line: I would not hesitate recommending potential buyers to purchase this unit. It will save you the expense of tickets and the higher insurance premiums that go along with them.

Good range... but WAY too many false alarms

The Bottom Line: If you're on a tight budget, go for a Vector 985 - older generation, but great detection and filtering. Otherwise, try the RX65, Escort 8500X50... stay away from the 995!
Review: My previous radar detector was a Beltronics Vector 985. The 985 had become one of those 'industry standards', and most reviews will tell you that you cannot go wrong with that unit.
Well I decided to upgrade, and give the Vector 995 a try...

Works just fine so far

The Bottom Line: if you can live with the occasional false (just like any other detector) This unit provides Wonderfull radar detection capabilities.
Review: new update this should help sort out the people who actualy used the detector and those who just talk I emailed radartest.com and here is the responce-

BEL Vector 995
