Beltronics Vector 985 Radar Detector

This unit generally retails for $299, but I was able to pick one up for $250 new. I have previously owned the Passport 8500 and found it to be exceptionally good. After doing some research I decided to try the Bel 985. I like the black color as it blends with the dash.

This unit performs well and really has every feature one could ask for. Alerts come in plenty of time, the voice feature is clear, and provides a sharp no-nonsense display.

I believe the Bel 985 and the Passport 8500 run neck and neck, but believe the Bel wins out due to price and style.
