More than just a bicycle

The Bottom Line: I feel like I take my bike for granted now...gonna have to ride it some more this summer.

Wheels of Misfortune

The Bottom Line: Interesting depiction of conflict centred around a bicycle in contemporary Beijing; sincere and authentic portrayal by director and all actors; some violence; sad ending.

A ride around Beijing

The Bottom Line: It is a sweet movie about dedication, respect and survival.

Beijing Bicycle

The Bottom Line: Recommended ONLY if you can take a sad story with a big upset, feeling bad for someone who's not bold/courageous AND hatred to someone for the whole movie.
Review: This movie is very sad. It's about this hardworking, stubborn courier (Guei) who gets his bike stolen. He amazingly finds it and gets his job back, but the boy who has it (Jian) bought it second-hand using money stolen from his parents. The scenes...
