A Must Buy

BF2 is a MUST HAVE if you are a FPS gamer or war junkie. This game encompasses all fronts of battle, from armored vehicles to fixed and rotor winged aircraft. As an added feature you have the option of playing on one of 3 different sides of the battle: USMC, MEC (Middle East Coalition) or PLA (People's Liberation Army [China]). There is also the addition of squads, squad leader and commander positions in the game which are extremely important for dominating the battle.
Though there were some glitches in the beginning, the developers of EA and DICE have developed several patches to fix online gameplay.
It is very important to note that this game is very graphics and memory intense. You must be running the recommended requirements in order to play on a 64 slot server without lag or hiccups. It is also recommended that you buy the DVD copy rather than the ROM cd.
This game was developed from the ground up, using a brand new graphics engine and it goes without saying that some of the keyboard functions take some getting used to...especially if you use a mouse and keyboard for flying aircraft.
BF2 was also designed to be played long-term, as many of the ranks and awards will reflect. (Some awards require 500 hours of gameplay). I have been playing since August, and I am only a Staff Sergeant. The ranks currently go up to 2nd Lt. with plans to extend officer ranks with new expansions.
CHEATERS BEWARE! Keycodes are monitored and if pirated will be LOCKED!

*HINT*
ALWAYS play as a member of a squad. Lone Wolves rarely gain teamwork points and never recieve backup in tight spots.
