Author's Review
This game ROCKS! I received it for Christmas and have yet to get bored of playing it. A group of some other guys and I absolutely love the capture the flag multi-player. There are many levels to play on, and this gives us a good variety. Our group has developed many tactics because we play it so much.
The single-player, or campaign mode, is not bad, but the AI of the enemy tanks, and your allies, could do with some improving. The campaign is a decent 16 missions long, all of which get progressively harder. One interesting feature is the resource management 3DO put in. If your tank is destroyed, you have to buy a new one with your tank bucks. You start out with some, but you can also pick them up in the levels and you receive a couple once you cross certain point barriers, like 10,000 points.
This sequel is a great improvement over the original Battletanx. The single-player is decent, but the multi-player tares everything else up to shreds. Truly a must have for the Nintendo.
