Escentual Tool.. for no Streak..Full Coverage

I've been on a Bare Escentual's addiction since May of this year; and have no intention of kicking the habit...

My Bare Escentuals Full Coverage Kabuki Brush came in a kit purchased through "QVC" two months ago. I've been wanting one of these, but the price held me back...

Just One! Kabuki brush retails for 28.00 alone. I'm always watching "QVC" when Leslie is there with the line of Bare Escentuals. I take a front row seat in my easy chair; and turn up the volume. Now; I'm ready for the showing.

When a particular item seems too pricey; I search for kits that may have the item included. This way I get a better deal for my dollars spent; And some extra to try stuff.

I purchased my "Kabuki Brush" online from "QVC". I used the search box and pulled up the "Bare Escentuals" line and enjoyed the browsing experience, as always...

Eventually I found a kit containing a shadow, multitasking bisque powder, liner/shadow brush, and the Oh! so wanted; Bare Escentuals Full Coverage Kabuki Brush. The kit normally sold for 42.00..but was on sale for 38.18, Now that's a deal, since the Kabuki Brush retails for 28.00; I placed my order.

Product Description:

Bare Escentuals Full Coverage Kabuki Brush measures approximately 2.0" long from base to tip. The base (handle) of the "Kabuki" is made from a silver lightweight metal. The brush extends up and outward; With lots of luxurious-soft and natural sable bristles; Very nice.

You can see the quality. After using; you can feel the difference; Especially if you've ever used those cheaper ones; which I've done. "Kabuki" is filled with natural sable bristles to the fullest; No skimping here. The fullness allows no peek-a-boo see through.

Bare Escentuals Full Kabuki Brush provides medium to full coverage. It is short; But don't let the size fool you. The performance is tremendous; with the tight, firm head, and super lush bristles; Gives amazing full coverage for face or body.

My Experience:

I use the Kabuki to apply the minerals foundation. Just sprinkle a little into the lid; using the swirl, tap, and buff method. This brush holds more powdered minerals inside, after tapping off the excess. With the "Kabuki" one application is sufficient for the coverage I need.

Kabuki never leaves any streaks when applying. Only takes a few seconds and I'm done with a natural flawless finish and even coverage. Doesn't leave any marks where the minerals begin or end. Your face doesn't look made up or feel like you're wearing a mask. I detest that feel on my face again.

I'm lovin' this brush; Very compatible with the Bare Escentuals powder minerals. It's a fabulous tool to have in your make-up tool collection.

Now, I'd like to own another; Doesn't hurt to have a spare. I could use one for the mineral veil or just keep it for a back up; while my other one is drying...

Cleaning and Care:

I wash my brushes once a week for sanitary purposes alone. Using a mild shampoo or hand soap as recommended by Leslie...

In the bathroom; Under warm running water I wet the brush first; Squeeze a small amount of shampoo/soap into my hand and swirl the brush around in my palm. You'll be surprised at the mineral powder that comes out..

Then I rinse well until water is clear; run my fingers over the bristles squeezing out the excessive water, then holding the "Kabuki" handle I give it a few shakes and stand on a paper towel to air dry. I usually wash my brushes before bedtime and by morning they are completely dry.

My Kabuki has been washed eight times (had for 2 months), and the bristles are holding up great. They are well intact; I don't see any falling out or coming off when I apply my minerals. Still looks like new.

Leslie says; these are good brushes and will last a long time; For the price, I think they should, and I'm hoping it will.

I would also like to get the "baby kabuki"; for carry along touchups. This miniture brush sells for 15.00..

Bare Escentuals has a "New" modern compact available for 32.00; it comes in an oblong case with a nesting place for the "baby buki"; and a separate sifter insert for holding your minerals...

It's so neat, You've gotta see it. Shown on "QVC" with Leslie's previous airing. Convenient for taking along in your purse. Right at your fingertips whenever you need it. Looks like the Kabuki Brush but much smaller. It's a mini. If you missed the show; You can get a look at Sephoria... (this is another review)...Smile :)

My Thoughts This Kabuki reminds me of a real, genuine sable fur coat in color; And the only sable I'll ever own...Another quick thought comes to mind; If an inch of sable bristles cost 28.00; Wow! I can only imagine what a full length coat would be worth??..Certainly out of my league.
