Might work for some...

This is a review for Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil.  By now you have probably seen the infomercials and know it comes in a standard sized jar and is applied with a brush with a swirl, tap and buff motion.  It is a "colorless" finishing product to be applied after "pre-concealing" and then using the appropriate shade of bare minerals as a foundation.  It comes in a powder form that goes on the skin in a very velvety, almost creamy consistency. 

I really wanted to like this product.  My mother and sisters love it.  However I've tried it twice now and I don't care what anyone says, this stuff SETTLES INTO the LINES on your face.  I intentionally left the house with nothing but a bare face (that I had just that morning exfoliated) and a bit of moisturizer.  I went to my local cosmetic chain that starts with a "U" where I had the bare minerals Mineral Veil applied by a makeup artist whose job it is to sell the stuff.  Again, I wanted to like it, I really did.  But an hour later when I saw myself in a mirror I was shocked at how dry and how much older I appeared.  I went home, scrubbed it off, cleansed and applied moisturizer and decided I look better without makeup.  For anyone seeking that fresh, dewy look, forget it, you won't find it with mineral makeup.
