sadly, made large pores look worse - not for everyone
Pros:
a lot of women swear by it
Cons:
I found it highlighted imperfections, it's expensive
The Bottom Line:
Didn't work for me, but there's a ton of positive reviews - it's pricey, try to buy it where you can return it if you don't like it on you!

Author's Review
Bare Minerals foundation was a brand new product when I first heard about it (via TV). here's the basic concept:
Made from 100% pure bareMinerals its free of preservatives, oil, fragrance, talc and other skin irritants. bareMinerals foundation has an SPF of 15 and is made of only five ingredients:
* Titanium Dioxide
* Zinc Oxide
* Mica
* Iron Oxide
* Bismuth Oxychloride
Part of the appeal is that the product supposedly works for everyone - problem skin, sensitive skin, dry skin, oily skin, all skin.
I wanted it for a long time before I broke down and bought it. I was hesitant to pay a decent amount of money for a product that I figured probably wouldn't work. But then I read a bunch of positive reviews, and I figured I would give it a try.
For me, with just average skin, the product didn't perform as advertised. It went on very dry, even when I used just a tiny bit, and the dry powder just settled into my skin and highlighted every imperfection instead of hiding them. I found that if I gently patted a wet washcloth against my face after applying then it was a better look, but not by much. I don't use it anymore.
As an alternative, I would recommend the L'Oreal Bare Naturale. I've used the powder as a foundation, and I love it - it glides over my skin and isn't too dry yet doesn't allow shine either. The foundation also works well, but in the summertime I prefer less coverage and only use the powder. As a bonus, you don't have to purchase expensive brushes to apply it (the bareMinerals doesn't come with brushes generally).
