Pros: Really neat, and low specs.
Cons: Monstrously addictive and huge.
The Bottom Line: It's neat, but will steal your life away, leaving only a dim memory of sunlight in its wake.
Review: Although Baldur's Gate is easily the funkiest RPG computer game I've ever played (this is admittedly not too hard as it's a genre that I generally sneer at, with only Ultima Underworld 2 and Ultima 8: Pagan breaking my embargo), I must warn you severely....

Pros: Different experience every time with every player. Very true to AD&D model.
Cons: Crashed after a few hours of play and requires a lot of resources
The Bottom Line: The best RPG game to come to the PC that I have ever scene; it truely sticks to the AD&D experience.
Review: Baldur's Gate has been heralded as one of the best RPGs available on the PC today, and it has surely earned it's title. Baldur's Gate is set in the realm of Waterdeep, an area well known to AD&D RPGers. It's a town with everything and anything, and...

An Amazingly Engrossing and Atmospheric RPG

Pros: Very deep play mechanics, a lot of atmosphere, very non-linear, spectacular graphics and sound.
Cons: Rather steep learning curve. VERY challenging.
The Bottom Line: Baldur's Gate is quite simply one of the deepest and most engrossing games I had ever played.
Review: First a confession, I'm no veteran to PC RPG's. I have played many console RPG's from Final Fantasy to Xenogears to lesser-knowns like Breath Of Fire. But computer RPG's were completely foreign to me... until one day when I found myself interested in...

Hark, AD&D is born again!

Pros: The rebirth of great AD&D'ing
Cons: Slightly overrated, Fallout 2 was better
The Bottom Line: A classic, ageless, and should be part of your RPG experience, even 4 years after its release.
Review: RPGs were quite pathetic for awhile, weren't they? RPGs are probably the biggest market right now, and to think they were once as unpopular as puzzle games is mind-blowing. I started gaming just when that drought ended, luckily, but the great titles that...

Pros: great game play, lots of quests.
Cons: there could be a couple more improvements. read and find out.
The Bottom Line: A great game you should try or at least rent it.
Review: Baldurs gate is a game that takes place on the world of Fareun, also where the cleric quintet, and the Icewind dale books (with drizzit and cadderly) took place, In the same time span. I have met drizzt in BG and cadderly in BG2. I have also met...

Pros: Lots of areas to explore, there is an expansion and upcoming sequel, it Fantasy man!
Cons: One word: Clickfest
Review: Baldurs Gate is such an impressive game that I have yet to come up with one adjective to sum it up, so I'll have to use several. A few that come to mind are: addicting, engrossing and huge.

Pros: Outstanding graphics and sound. Replayability, multiplayer capability, and loads of fun.
Cons: Point and click gets a little old. Limited level advancement.
Review: Baldurs gate is a dream come true for all of you old school AD&D fanatics. It encompasses a rich story line with dozens of sub-plots and outstanding graphics while remaining true to the original game rules. Lots of towns and areas with NPCs to...

Pros: Rich, complex world
Cons: You won't get a good night's sleep for months
Review: We purchased this game after hearing a few of our friends talking about it every time we got together. They would compare notes about where their characters were, how annoyed they were by Noober, what they found in the various towns.

Pros: Exciting, fun, great attention to detail
Cons: May be a bit glitchy
Review: Okay, I did like this game. I played it a lot. I yelled at it when party members died, insulted it when I (shh) did something stupid, and cheered when my party emerged intact from deadly situations. But I went into the game with a good idea of what...

Pros: Began the rebirth of CRPGs
Cons: Showing age
The Bottom Line: If you enjoy RPGs - this is one of the classics that you must own.
Review: Baldur's Gate is the beginning of the wonderful RPG series from Bioware. The combat system is well designed, but it takes some practice to get used to. Personally I would prefer a true turn based system like the old SSI gold box games, but I realize...
