Boy oh boy what an album!!!!

I loved the first Titanic CD but when I purchased 'Back to Titanic' I was spellbound by how much more incredible it was than the first.

Most of the musical pieces are instrumental and some have actual dialogue from the movie. I have always been extremely touched by this tragedy, but this collection of music intensified every emotion I have felt both with the actual story as with the movie. The collection of instruments and music by James Horner carries so much feeling that one cannot help but be emotionally involved throughout the entirety of this collection.

My motivation for purchasing this CD was the song, ' Come Josephine on my flying machine'. This is taken from the scene where Rose realises she has fallen for Jack and they have the rendez-vous at sundown at the ship's bow and share the first kiss. Jacks sings her this song and then when she later lays on the door after the sinking, and he is in the water, she sings this song to herself, almost in a desperate surrendering of life.

The real singer, 'Marie Brennan' (Enya's sister) has a magical voice. It is so spiritual and moving, yet so gentle and almost haunting. I have not been able to listen to this song once without having tears in my eyes. In fact I loved it so much I purchased Brennan's album just to hear her incredible voice.

It really is an amazing soundtrack, for those who loved the movie or even for those he didnt care much for it. It is a must for classical music lovers, it is so powerful. I must mention that the piece entitled 'An Irish party in third class' is also incredible, if you can imagine an Irish jig with and orchestral sounds. This is performed by 'Gaelic Storm', whom I also immediately purchased their album. Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant!!!!
