My Son's Favorite Video

by   mizgnomer ,  Oct 30, 2002
Pros: Wonderful Music, Beautiful Colors. Introduces babies to colors and fine art
Cons: Turns my son into a TV-Zombie
The Bottom Line: Wonderful addition to the Baby Einstein family. Introduces colors and art in a fun and musical way.
Review: Our Experiences With the Baby Einstein Family of Videos/DVDs:

My son had 3 Baby Einstein videos before he was even born. Being new to parenting, my husband and I did not know what our child might like someday, and thought that the...

This captivated my 10-month-old and 3-year-old alike!

by   exmish ,  Aug 14, 2001
Pros: Good introduction to works of art, classical music; visuals babies can relate to
Cons: None that I can think of
The Bottom Line: If your public library has it, give it a try--my children loved it so much, it's on the Christmas wish list!
Review: I checked out BVG from our public library--I was curious to see what the series was about and if it was just hype or genuinely useful. I also liked the idea of the integration of classical music with works of art; my children are exposed to classical...

Baby Van Gogh : Look, Listen & Learn with Vincent VanGoat

by   marytara ,  Apr 16, 2002
Pros: Educational, Introduces babies to Music, Colors and Art
Cons: A few distracting/startling sounds between segments
The Bottom Line: A quality video that provides an introduction to colors and fine arts.
Review: I was prepared to be disappointed with the Baby Van Gogh video from the Baby Einstein Company and I freely admit that. My son and I had been let down by the Baby Van Gogh Color-Go-Round (which I have also reviewed

Baby Van Gogh - A nice introduction to art and colors...

by   jag2112 ,  Oct 2, 2001
Pros: Beautiful use of Colors and Classical Music. Good educational value.
Cons: Some abrupt sounds from time to time.
The Bottom Line: Another fine addition from the Baby Einstein company that's sure to entertain and engage your toddler.
Review: The Baby Einstein company, founded by Julie Aigner-Clark, focuses its attention on creating attention-grabbing video and educational products for young toddlers and infants. My first two reviews of their products, Baby Mozart (See:

Baby Van Gogh Disappointing

by   midigal ,  Jul 10, 2001
Pros: I enjoyed it!
Cons: My baby didn't really enjoy it...
The Bottom Line: Though Baby Van Gogh didn't keep my baby's attention, it's still a great video, and I would recommend giving it a go with your child.
Review: Though I will still recommend this video for others, because of its colorful and beautiful moments and its well-placed classical music, I can honestly say it is a disappointment to me. My son forgets about it after about 5 minutes. :(

If I...

Digital Bored Book

by   anadandy ,  Apr 11, 2001
Pros: Beautiful visuals and music choices, great educational content for very young children
Cons: Did not interest my child for long
The Bottom Line: I would suggest renting the videos to see if your child will enjoy them. If they do, it's a worthy addition to your video collection.
Review: This title is one of the Baby Einstein series of videos created by Julie Aigner-Clark. Called "Digital Board Books", the series is designed for very young children to introduce them to concepts such as language, classical music and art. The Baby Van Gogh...

Not the Best of Baby Einstein

by   requiemchic ,  Apr 26, 2008
Pros: It goes over colors
Cons: It isn't as good of quality as some of the other videos
The Bottom Line: Some of the same toys are used in this film that I've seen in others, it just didn't cut it.
Review: My 21 month old daughter has watched Baby Einstein for quite awhile and has learned quite a bit from the video series, but Baby VanGogh doesn't quite make it if you ask me. My daughter has learned baby sign language and numbers at a very early age ...

Look Bubba! The Silly Man Has Cut Off His Ear!

by   munkus ,  Jun 9, 2003
Pros: Flashing lights and bright colours.
Cons: The whole concept is just too tacky for words.
The Bottom Line: Hmmm... this one started one way and ended another. How interesting.
Review: Are you concerned that your 8 month year baby can't conduct a character analysis of Hamlet or provide a convincing reproduction of Van Gogh's Sunflowers with finger paint?

WELL FEAR NO MORE!

The good people at Baby Einstein...
