Baby Bjorn Potty Chair ~ Simplicity IS Bliss…

Potty training is upon us in my household, this became pretty evident when my son started crabbing about poppy and wet diapers he use to not care about. My Mother had already acquired a potty chair for her house, but I waited until the need arouse and kept my eye open for prospects. I eventually decided on the Baby Bjorn Potty Chair because of its awesome simplicity.

The chair my mother had bought came apart into 4 or more pieces. My son liked to dismantle that potty, I’m sure out of complete curiosity, but it was obvious more parts meant more trouble.

Baby Bjorn actually has 2 styles of potties that are pretty popular, this one and a one pieces potty. I choose this potty for the removable pot.

Description
This potty is made of high-grade plastic. The potty is split into 2 pieces, the seat and a pot that fits into the center of the seat. The seat features a high back and sides for lounging during “business” and the front of the potty lips up between the legs to keep pee from boys from going everywhere.

The chair comes in different colors including red, light blue, pink, green, yellow, and white. Regardless of the chair color all of the pots are white.

My Thoughts
This potty chair caught my eye from the beginning simply because of its basic qualities. There are no “special” features to this potty, no slot machine on the back, fake toilet paper, not singing voices. This potty is a potty, nothing more.

I appreciate the simple design of the seat, with the pot that fits securely in the middle. The design of the chair leaves all of the edges smooth, and the pot makes a layered seal with the seat, so there is no leaking. After use the pot can easily be pulled from the seat with no problems or hoops to jump through. The plastic is slick and very easy to clean.

The bottom of the potty features rubber grips which conveniently holds the potty in one position on our wood floors. This potty doesn’t slide all over the place.

I also like the lack of a separate ‘pee shield’, that is simply a built in part of the Baby Bjorn Potty Chair and it functions well as such.

MY son has adjusted well to the Baby Bjorn Potty Chair and tries to use it quite a bit, but we still have a long way to go down the “potty training trail”. I wish it were over, but I think the trip is much easier with this simple, no frills potty.

Price
This potty chair retails for about $25 and I can easily attest that it is very much worth it.

Overall I can’t think of another potty chair on the market that I would trade this one in for…
