I'm in love with BOB

I absolutely LOVE my BOB Revolution stroller!!!

I did a lot of research for a jogging stroller. I’m new to jogging, but really wanted the best stroller I could afford to keep up with my new hobby & my active 14 month old daughter. After reading reviews on multiple web sites, I purchased the 2006 BOB stroller from an on-line discount retailer. I couldn’t choose the color and had to wait several weeks for it to arrive, but that only heighten my anticipation.

Color: I know it’s a “girly” thing to focus on, but I really wanted a cool color combo, and I got one: dark orange & chocolate brown. Very stylish and hip and not overly feminine. I love the colors of all the BOB strollers – they stand out in a crowd.

Setting up: I was a little intimidated about putting together the stroller, especially after reading the book that came with the stroller and all the warnings. However, it was easy enough for me to figure out. I needed my husband’s help for the front wheel, which is very, very hard to close the lever; but that just makes me feel more secure about the safety of this product.

Features: BOB is so easy to open and to fold up. I like the simplicity of it, and the quickness (always good when a parent needs to also keep an eye on an active, running toddler!).
I wanted a stroller that had a locking/swivel front wheel (when spending this much money, I wanted to use the stroller as much as possible). The front wheel swivels and turns corners like an Italian race car: tight control, smooth corners. When in the lock position for running (and it is so easy to lock/unlock the wheel), the stroller is extremely stable. As a new runner, I thought using a jogging stroller may be awkward or slow me down, but I haven’t found that to be the case with BOB.
The shocks are great! My daughter is happy and comfortable during her ride, whether I’m jogging or we’re taking a bumpy stroll through the woods on a packed-earth path.
The sunshade is enormous & I love the window in the top to peek through at my daughter.
The under-storage is sufficiently large. There is also a pocket on the back of the seat. I put my water bottle hear because there are on cup-holders (you can purchase an attachment, but I don’t want to spring for it). My only complaint is there’s no toddler tray to put cheerios, sippy cup, or attach toys to (the mesh pockets on the inside left & right are a nice idea, but what 14 month old has the motor skills to remove and return a sippy cup to them?).

Size & Weight: I can’t get over just how compact this stroller is! I drive an older model Saturn SL with a very small trunk. My Graco Quattro stroller is a heavy behemoth that I struggled to fit in my tiny trunk. I was extremely nervous that my BOB wouldn’t fit, or that I would always be taking the wheels on/off every time I went somewhere. But this stroller is smaller and more lightweight than my Graco and I’m thrilled! I actually have room for cargo in my trunk now. And the BOB Revolution is very light.

Price: The BOB Revolution is pricey. I paid around $300 for mine. I had to convince my husband that this expensive stroller really was the best option, and we cut a few corners to save up for it. But, it’s worth every penny.

One final caveat. My husband wasn’t overly thrilled that I so desperately wanted this stroller. It’s expensive, we already have two strollers, and he is not a jogger. However, once I set it up, and he saw how stylish it is, and how easy it is to use, I have to fight with him over who gets to push our daughter when we go for walks! He’s sold on BOB, too.
