Could Have Been Better

When I heard that Hasbro was going to release the Iron Blitz edition of Axis and Allies I could hardly contain myself. As an avid fan of Strategy and War games I have found few that match the original Axis and Allies. Simple yet thought provoking it was a very enjoyable experience.
What could they have in store for us now, I thought. Well, the answer is not much. Iron Blitz is basically the same as the original with a couple new pieces to play with and some new scenarios thrown in. I was very disappointed to say the least.
They did improve the graphics slightly. The problem is that no one plays Axis and Allies for the graphics. Energy would have been better expended in other areas. Like creating smarter computer opponents for us to play against. This should have been sent out as a patch or upgrade to the original.
I would not recommend this to anyone who has already purchased the original. It is just to redundant.
