Great picture and sound, poor rechargeable battery

I have owned this player for over a year. Purchased it during a pre-Christmas sale at Radio Shack. (Never received my rebate which would have brought the price down to about $75.) I was surprised at the beautiful picture and sound quality.

I purchased specifically to allow my son a place to plug in and play his video games when we travel and there is not an extra TV around for him to use.

With this handy laptop player plugged into the car and my friends portable power pack he can even use his play station 2 in the car!

The rechargeable battery snaps easily onto the back, but puts the unit off balance because it is then heavy in the back, not a problem when setting on a stable surface but a slight problem when on a lap or in a moving vehicle. Near impossible to find a replacement rechargeable battery for this unit and it would have cost me as much as the original complete system. Disappointed the battery failed after such a short period of time.
