As fast as my Electric Pump and so much easier to transport...

This pump was given to me as a gift with my fourth baby. Up till now I had used a Medela BreastEase for babies 1 and 2, and the Ameda Purely Yours for baby 3 and 4... well I don't remember the last time I used my electric pump, now I strictly use my Avent Isis hand pump. It is very simple to use. It has a silicone shield that fits around the cup/against the breast... it is very comfortable and effective. I can pump both sides, typically 6-10 oz, in 15 minutes or less. Being a fulltime mom to four young children and a nursing school student, my spare time is minimal so time efficiency is of the utmost importance. This pump is easy enough to use and discrete enough that many times I pump while driving to the babysitters to drop off the children... whole new meaning to freshly pumped milk. I am not recommending trying to pump while driving, but that should definately tell you how easy it is to pump with it one handed. You do have to make sure to hold it firmly initially till a good seal is formed and the milk is flowing. The pump fits easily into my bag, so there is not a big electric pump bag to have to carry around. The bottles are a nice size and very convenient. You can pump directly into the bottle your baby will be drinking from. They have even created a sippy cup that will fit with this pump... how convenient!!! I wish I had had this pump with my prior babies.
This pump is easy to clean. I tried to use it without the breast shield (oops, forgot it in the dishwasher) and did find it to be uncomfortable (too much, too strong continuous suction) but with the breast shield in place, you wont find a more comfortable breast pump, especially not for this price.
If you are looking for more bang for the buck, this is definately the right pump.
