At first the ATR 55 seemed to work fine. Then after about 6 weeks it went south! The hissing is horrible! On the 'tele' mode it is even worse. How do these things just go bad all of a sudden? Changed the batteries but that didn't work. I never dropped it or anything, so what is up? It just doesn't work worth beans now! DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE! It has ruined an important production I was working on. Does anyone have a suggestion as to a better microphone? I will pay the extra money if I can buy a decent microphone.
