Great car, when it works...

When running, very nice car. The 90CS Quattro sport (model I owned) handled extremely well, although the ride was too stiff for the backroads of New England. The all wheel drive is great in snow and even on ice.

Car was extremely unreliable (some examples: rotors were warped 3 times in 30K miles without hard use, A/C evaporator went ($1700 to fix!)); electrical problems stranded me a number of times (car overheated in stop and go traffic although the fan motor was fine, even the ignition switch went..). Was hoping to drive the car into the ground, but got the impression that would be happening any day due to it's reliability so I sold it.

Would be leery of buying one of these used unless you look at car repair as a hobby...
