I Got Lost In 'Atlantis: The Lost Empire'

=Plot=
Milo Thatch is a guy with his head in the clouds. He believes in fantasy and myths and has tried to prove that some myths are real time and time again, but no one believes him. One day he gets invited to come on a mission to find the lost city of Atlantis and Milo jumps at the opportunity. Joined by a weird person who acts like a human mole (and is oddly enough called "Mole"), Helga, Commander Rourke, a big black doctor named Dr. Sweet, a man who loves to blow stuff up named Vinny Santorini, and a young mechanic named Audrey, they find Atlantis and are amazed at the beauty and wonder of it all. When Milo meets Princess Kida of Atlantis, he falls for her and must help her defend her home from the people who came with Milo, as all they wanted was the diamonds and jewels which belong to Atlantis.

=Actors/Actresses=
Michael J. Fox is absolutely stunning as Milo, and his performance is one of a kind. I liked how much effort and enthusiasm he put into his character. Cree Summer was just okay as Princess Kida, as her voice acting sounded slow and tired. Jim Varney (the late comedic genius who played in all the 'Ernest' movies) is also in this movie, and he remains hilarious as always.

=Special Effects=
Where to begin? All I can say is 'WOW'! The worlds where deep and such a marvelous beauty to behold that I felt blessed to own this movie. I mean, the way they portrayed Atlantis, and the shimmering water and the boat on which they arrived were all spectacular to me. Not to mention the underwater monster that the crew has to run from. I loved every minute of it. I felt as though if I took my eyes from the screen for even one second, I would miss something so brilliant and so breathtaking that I didn't even dare to blink. It was that wonderful. You have to see it to take it all in, but take it from me, this is one movie you have to see to believe.

=My Opinion=
My opinion is that 'Atlantis' was the most cherished animated movie I have in my massive DVD collection. I loved the voice acting, and I absolutely loved the backgrounds (as you can tell from the above paragraph.) The characters were all interesting, and I would have liked to learn more about them all. I mean, they could have at least included the backstories for the characters. But aside from that, I loved 'Atlantis' so much, I have watched it numerous times. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who loves animation, because no other animated movie I have seen has shown me such astonishing art.
