On-Off Switch

Date of Review: May 21, 2006

On mounting this fan on a pole with the face of the fan facing the user, the rheostat-type switch in the rear of the fan is hard to get to and, since it's surface is smooth plastic instead of knurled, hard to turn.

The switch needs to be replaced by something with a knurled surface or by a three button (hi-low-off) switch.

I solved this problem, at least for the time being, by attaching a narrow strip of rough textured masking tape to the outer edge of the rheostat. It'll last for as long as it takes for the adhesive on the tape to dry out.

In the meanwhile, the fan works fine and does everything I'd hoped it would do.

Cons
Control switch sucks.
