Cute for Blue Clue's fans. Good buy.

The Bottom Line: Nice for fans of the NickJR show. Does hsve educational value for kids 3-4yrs. A good buy but not the best.
From the NickJr hit tv show Blues Clues here is an educational CD-ROM for the youngest computer learners. In this game you get to join Blue and her friends in Miss Marigolds classroom. It is recommended for kids three through six. I believe five might be the top age on this game.
You get to choose different activities in Miss Marigold's classroom. You can take care of Giggles the class rabbit. You need to keep Giggles healthy and happy by giving food and water, brushing, cleaning and play time.
At Music Time you listen to the musical beat Blue is playing and find another musician that matches the beat. Teaches kids good listening skills. There are three levels to challenge kids.
In the garden you discover nature. You listen to clues to find a photograph a certain animal or plant. The pictures go in a nature discovery book and Miss Marigold tells you all about the plants and animals.
There also is art time where you can create beautiful paintings to share with family and friends. A young artists can begin with a blank paper page or a coloring book page. There are lost of colors, different paint brushes, buckets and spray cans plus lots of fun stickers to make special pictures. After you are done the pciture you made on the screen can be printed out.
Outside at the water table you experiment with direction and cause and effect. You must use blocks to direct a boat to an island. The challenge gets harder with each sucess.
This is a cute educational game that my kids loved when they were first starting out on the computer. The games can possibly get old after a while. If you kid is a Blue Clues fan this will keep their interest when starting out. It's well made and easy for them to do with little adult help. A good buy but not the best.
