"Armadale" - Not the best of Wilkie Collins

Pros: The behavior and morals of upper and lower class English people are contrasted.

Cons: Although this book kept my interest, it dragged in some places.

The Bottom Line: I rate "Armadale" average especially in comparison to "The Woman in White" and "The Moonstone," though I do like Collins' style.

Review: Having read and thoroughly enjoyed "The Woman in White" and "The Moonstone" by Collins, I was prepared to like this book even though I knew it was not as popular as the other two books. Wilkie Collins lived in England (1824-1889)and wrote "Armadale" in ...
