You gotta love this one.

A Disney Classic, Aristocats has all the usual Disney characters. A villain or two, a lovely female animal, adorable babies, and a rough and tumble hero or two.

The best thing about this video is Disneys study and portrayal of the different animals' personalities. The Basset Hound is wonderful. "How come you always get the tender parts?" is a classic line. And watching those hounds pursue the bad guy is hysterical for anyone who owns a Blood hound or Basset. You have to laugh out loud.

The music is great. I think this is one of the first to get Disney on the road to using beautifully crafted musical scores. The jazz is especially good. "Everybody Wants to be a Cat" is one of the Disney greats. You can't listen to it and watch without tapping your foot and swinging along with a bunch of cartoon characters. It's great fun.

A fun one to watch with your kids.
