Pretty cool laptop, but takes A LOT of getting used to.

The Bottom Line: I would recommend the MacBook if you have the patients to learn the system.
If you are considering purchasing your first Mac, then you should be aware that it takes a whole lot of getting used to. This computer is very very diffrerent from Windows and it can be very tricky to use. Specifically, MacBook screens are a rectangle and PC's are a square, "delete" deletes left instead of right, it is tough to highlight or cut and paste items, there is only one click button, all Microsoft Office software is a bit different than it is on a PC, and finally, to get onto the internet Macs use Safari instead of Internet Explorer.
But, once you do get used to the system, you probably wont got back to a PC. Some of the most benficial perks; lightning fast downloads, very sharp display, chich style, small/light, and quick start up. A quick start up was a big selling point foe me, as most PC's take forever once you press that power on button. My mac also picks up a wireless signal much better than my boyfriend's PC. I do not beleive the MacBook is as suspectable to viruses and other bugs as PC's are. I say this because I have had several PC's and they all ended up being infeted with something and very slow in the end. My Mac is as fast as the day I bought it. When its all said and done, I am happy with my computer!
