How much space is too much?

I've had my iPod classic 160GB for about 4 months now and thought it deserved a review. There isn't too much to say in terms of the difference between this one and older versions. It has a very similar OS, except for the fact it's a bit updated with 3d effects and shadowing. The body of the iPod has also been switched from plastic to aluminum.

There is an updated search feature, which allows you to input a search query so you can find something in the mountains of songs you are are able to fit on these things. There is also the added coverflow feature which is only slightly useful. It can be more of an annoyance than anything. Cover art loads a bit slowly and if you don't have album art for your entire library, the feature is pointless in the first place.

HD space is obviously the main factor with this device. While it doesn't tout an new features such as a touch screen as you would see in the new iPod Touch, it's hard to beat the storage capacity with this little guy. This is the main reason I decided to purchase this iPod. I wanted something I could hang on to for as long as possible and not be able to fill up. It's nice to have your entire song library in your pocket.

If you are a fan of lossless audio, or just want to put pretty much every song you've ever heard on your iPod, this is the iPod for you. If you're more a fan of gadgets and only take a little interest in music, perhaps the iPod Touch would be more suited to your taste.
