The Secret Wonders of the Nano...revealed!

by   kosherdave ,  Sep 13, 2005
Pros: Tiny size, color screen, all around good, flash memory
Cons: Small storage space
The Bottom Line: It took very little time for Apple to work out the bugs of the Shuffle and Mini
Review: Apple iPod Nano Just a few days ago I happened upon an article about a new upcoming product sure to make trendy electronic junkies smile: The new iPod Nano. Now, having owned 3 iPods (a Shuffle, ...

Apple iPod Nano 4GB- Running Field Test

by   nchoward ,  Dec 28, 2005
Pros: It is sleek, 4GB of space is alot for workout playlists, light and skip proof
Cons: Expensive for just a run buddy. Not useful without accessories at home
The Bottom Line: This is a great lightweight MP3 player. It is top end, but it shows. This is not for your entire CD collection - more portable, active lifestyles.
Review: For $250 you can buy a credit card sized MP3 (MP4) player that can hold close to 100 CDs and weighs only 1.5 ounces. THE SPECS - 14 hours average battery life - Charges and syncs using USB 2 - Both Mac and Windows compatible - Calendar, ...

iPod Nano = iPod Love... Well At Least A Little Lust

by   yusakugo , top reviewer in Electronics at Epinions.com ,  Sep 17, 2005
Pros: Size, Color Screen, 2-4 GB flash memory, you can exercise with it, black color
Cons: $250 against 4GB iPod mini, non-user replacable batteries, placement of headphone jack and dock connector
The Bottom Line: The Nano is almost to die for... Apple has another winner on its hands although a bit expensive. Minor shortcomings outweighed by size and usability.
Review: I've been a bit out of the MP3 scene... there is only so many units one can play with and I definitely have bought more than my share of units. The last major MP3 player I bought was the iRiver H10 (can't really count the Lexar LDP-200 unit as a major ...

Practical Review of the IPod Nano

by   unk1911 ,  Mar 24, 2006
Pros: ulta-lite, ulta-thin, cute, hot, battery lasts 12 hours, intuitive controls
Cons: scratches easily, closed standard (it's by design though: apple needs to make money somehow)
The Bottom Line: Nano is the best mp3 player in my opinion. It has plenty of storage space for songs. it's solid-state and hot.
Review: I got the Nano as a gift in November of 2005. I have been using it for almost five months now therefore my review will be very helpful because I will not let my emotions interfere with the review. Why? Because it's obviously hard not to get emotional ...

Apple hits the sweet spot!

by   memobug ,  Oct 7, 2005
Pros: 100% solid state (no hard drive)
Cons: Fingerprint magnet, Itunes is pretty much your only choice
The Bottom Line: Finally! Respectable capacity in a solid-state IPOD from Apple at a fair price. The perfect High Tech stocking stuffer
Review: Although I have owned a number of MP3 players, I haven't been attracted to the IPOD line because most of the larger capacity players had spinning hard discs in them, and the smallest ones (Shuffles) didn't have any display. FEATURES The Nano offers ...

iWuv'ED my Wittle Nano!..until I lost it...

by   scratchyitch ,  Oct 27, 2005
Pros: easy to use, slim size, weighs nothing, just plain cool
Cons: earbuds hurt, no power adapter & costly accessories, scratches?, can't replace battery
The Bottom Line: 1st generation of Nanos w/reports of screen durability issues. I am not a sound snob so it is good enough for me. Easy to use and carry around AND LOSE!
Review: UPDATE 12-17-2005 With much sadness, I must report that my wittle, wittle, nano is now in someone else's hands. This is due to the FAULTY design of the lanyard accessory ...

No moving parts, tiny, big memory: great player for deployment!

by   hzoi ,  Jun 22, 2006
Pros: No moving parts, easy to use, long battery life, lots of room
Cons: Prone to scratch; shiny chrome backing not ideal for tactical environment
The Bottom Line: The perfect bridge between the tiny Shuffle and the larger, hard-drive based iPod. Room for all your favorite songs, with a display so you can choose among them!
Review: The iPod nano is the missing link between the Shuffle and the bigger iPod, and may be the only player you need to take downrange with you. A while back, I wrote a review on how useful the t he iPod Shuffle You ...

So Thin And Gorgeous It's Hard Not To Be Smitten With Nano

by   green-z ,  Sep 15, 2005
Pros: "Impossibly small," for a full featured, color screen iPod
Cons: Headphone jack on bottom, not compatible with voice recording or photo accessories
The Bottom Line: This is the ultimate portable music player. Emphasis on portable. For anyone looking for a versatile "workout" player look no further than the nano.
Review: Neither words nor pictures can truly show off the nano’s beauty. It is truly a stunning and stirring example of engineering and industrial design. As Apple CEO Steve Jobs said at its introduction it is “impossibly small.” And yet, while it ...

Apple's own iPod killer

by   Clive_Conway ,  Nov 17, 2005
Pros: Tiny, light, gorgeous, great sound. iPod therefore I am.
Cons: Capacity, poor photo functionality, headphone socket placement, no firewire or remote.
The Bottom Line: Gorgeous, superb device, but not yet perfect, Still, it's the iPod killer that none of Apple’s competitors have managed to build. If you can afford it, buy one.
Review: Call me a Luddite if you will (okay, okay, stop now) but I never really ‘got’ the Sony Walkman thing. I really love music of every variety (except, of course, country and western), and thoroughly enjoy listening to a very good audio system, so listening ...

You Could Say Apple Dropped the Nano Bomb...

by   mr-rghtknwsbst ,  Sep 18, 2005
Pros: SIZE! color screen, same click wheel interface, everything else...
Cons: Scratches way too easily, accessories aren't available until October 1st 2005.
The Bottom Line: Recommended. Big sound, small ( and I mean small) package. Although I put 'Music Lovers'... athletes will love this player. It's easy enough for tech newbies, too.
Review: Well, I had always thought about getting "up to date" with technology by getting an iPod, but I really didn't all the memory the 20 GB color iPod could give you. Then I turned to the mini 6 GB, but, for 50 bucks more, you got all that storage and the ...
