Nice Work, Apple! IPod nano gen3
Date of Review: Jan 19, 2009
The Bottom Line: Buy this IPod if you're looking forr a small size-4 GB deal. I enjoy it; you should too.
I bought this product a few months ago to replace my rapidly declining IPod mini (gen 1). I was pretty shocked when I started using the controls and screen, which were tiny compared to the first generation IPod. It holds 4 GB, which I find sufficient.
One of the first things I noticed about the IPod was that its headphone/earbud jack was located at the bottom of the IPod. A little inconvenient, but nothing too terrible. The screen's got awesome clarity: this comes in handy for when you want to play the IPod's three included games : IQuiz, solitaire, and a brick-breaking game. Video shows up pretty well on this IPod, too. This model's controls are ones that I find easy to work with as well.
I think that Apple hit on the perfect formula for size: it's not nearly as big and bulky as the 1st generation, but it's not as easily misplaced as the Shuffle. I find it perfect for most situations where you would want to use an IPod. As I said before, it has 4 GB of space, which I find to be pretty good bang for your buck. Overall, it's a worthwhile buy and will meet your portable music needs.
