This is the one you want if you want a high-end Mac!

by   kingtj ,  Dec 15, 2006
Pros: Best Mac performance ever, runs Windows as well as OS X
Cons: None worth nothing, really. Expensive, but that's obvious.
The Bottom Line: You can't help but love the Mac Pro if you like computers. The question isn't really "Do you want one?", but rather, "Can you afford one?"
Review: Having basically switched to Macs vs. Windows PCs several years ago, my primary computer had been a PowerMac G5 for quite a while. The Mac Pro was Apple's first attempt at offering an Intel CPU based "update" to my trusty G5 tower, so I looked at it ...

Ahead Warp Speed!

by   katana_burner ,  Oct 22, 2006
Pros: You can upgrade to no end it looks like it.
Cons: Don't drop it on your foot. You will break it. (Your foot)
The Bottom Line: Get this as your only computer. It uses OS X and Windows XP.
Review: Hello everyone this is Mac Surgeon reporting again! Just wanted to drop a line and talk a bit about the Mac Pro. I can't really sum this up in a few words but I will try my best. I had a chance to test drive this baby not too long ago when a client ...

Mac Pro 2.66ghz Quad Xeon - Still Impressive!

by   kerijane1 ,  Oct 20, 2008
Pros: Fast, Reliable, Quiet, Stylish, Easy to use. LOW PRICE for a Dual-XEON Workstation.
Cons: Comes with a weak video card and little memory
The Bottom Line: This the BEST Video Editing or Graphics workstation out there for the price.  It's overkill for most other uses.
Review: After using this 2006-2007 model 2.66 Quad-Core Mac Pro with the 23" Apple Cinema Display for several months, I remain very impressed. The Mac Pro came with Tiger OS, a smaller Hard Drive, only 1gb RAM in dual-channel mode and a weak Video Card to ...

Unbelievable !!!!!!

by   dhoosee ,  Sep 10, 2006
Pros: SPEED, ease & quietness of operation, Mac staff support.
Cons: None, except the mouse, slightly loud hard drive, and a little pricey.
The Bottom Line: BUY, BUY, BUY!!!!! This computer can't be beat for the money. Mac's are painfully easy to use & problem-less, and the new Mac Pro continues on with this tradition.
Review: This is my third Mac (#1 was the original Bondi iMac, #2 was my 450mhz gray G4 that I owned for 7 years!), and I couldnt be more satisfied!!!! The machine is beyond fast, and worked flawlessly right out of the box. I bought the base model direct from ...
