Love my mac

by   rw86347 ,  Mar 6, 2008
Pros: Cheap small Clean Windows compatible
Cons: No mouse, keyboard or monitor Needs more RAM
The Bottom Line: I would buy it again!
Review: I have a large monitor that my Dell couldn't support. I have been thinking of moving towards a Mac for some time. The viruses were killing me. Then I noticed that the Mac Mini could drive a monitor at 1920x1280! So I took the plung I bought a new Mac ...

Great introduction to Mac OS / Home Theater PC

by   alphamusic ,  Feb 5, 2008
Pros: Price, performance, design, OSX 10 . 5, Windows with Bootcamp, HTPC, remote control
Cons: Limited upgradability
The Bottom Line: This is a great inexpensive computer that wont crash all the time like a Windows machine or be unusable because it's obsolete in a year
Review: I recently upgrade from a 1.5Ghz G4 stealth upgrade Mac Mini to the Core 2 Duo 1.83 Ghz mini and I am very impressed with the performance improvements. With Xbench the Core 2 Duo was approximately twice as fast as the G4 on many tests. The Mac Mini has ...

the MINI!

by   bts9879 ,  Dec 12, 2007
Pros: Everything you'd expect from an Apple at a great price!
Cons: The 1.83 processor only slows down when under significant loads.
The Bottom Line: You can't beat the reliability, quality, and user-orientated nature of Macintosh. If you've already got a monitor and keyboard, go for the Mini and save a bundle!
Review: After weeks of my PC randomly freezing and rebooting, I decided to invest in a Mac. As I looked at Apple's product line, I realized that I could save a lot of money by using my current monitor, keyboard, and mouse with a Mac Mini. The Mini comes with ...

A Great Entry-Level Media PC

by   bstilson ,  Feb 17, 2008
Pros: Small, Light, QUIET, Reasonably fast and stable
Cons: Not user-upgradable, can be slow under heavy load
The Bottom Line: An excellent media PC. Great for users who want more capability on their HDTV than what Apple TV offers.
Review: I broke down and bought a Mac a week ago. I wanted a good media center to go along with my new HDTV, and I really didn't want to deal with Vista. I also wanted something that was small and silent. Despite it's lack of DVR function, the Mac Mini fit the ...

Unobtrusive

by   xarchy ,  Oct 31, 2008
Pros: Great wireless, size, quiet, Apple Geniuses/Stores,
Cons: Cost, underpowered, tiny HD, not user-upgradable, applecare costs
The Bottom Line: Not for everyone.  Better have $$$ to get addons so it actually works for you.  Good for artists/musicians, but not business.
Review: When my custom-built PC finally fried its old top-of-the-line MOBO, I looked a round and tried a new quad core with Vista.  Need I say more? Two machine returns later, my son and I both noticed that you can run Windows XP on Leopard.  So we ...
