i am in love with this machine

since getting my new macbook pro, i bring it everywhere i go. and it is fine to carry around, thin and light. i bought it for a variety of uses including running final cut pro, photoshop, and after effects, and so far have found it terrific. i have a 4-year-old and all the educational software i have tried so far is great. i tried running second life with it and found it worked well. it of course is a beautiful machine - i got the 15" monitor b/c it seemed the 17" was a bit too bulky to be easily portable. but, at home i hook it up to an Apple Cinema HD 23" monitor which is a great addition. also, i just bought JBL speakers since the built-in speakers are just so-so. also, the keyboard is a bit awkward to use and while good-looking, quite hard on the fingers so i had to buy a separate keyboard. there is one from apple that is wireless that you can just lay on top of the existing keyboard and it fits perfectly - i actually didn't buy that one because i wanted more of a fully functional keyboard that included a numeric keypad.
