Awesome Awesome Awesome!!!!

This is my third mac so far and I love the iMac just as much as I have loved my previous macs (iMac intel white, iBook G4, and black MacBook). I'll try not to review OS X as much as the computer itself, as so many great things have been said about it. The computer is a great starter mac, as it's the most economical. It has a great build quality and great screen. The screen is a huge 20" (or 24" if you splurge) and it's behind a glass plate. The screen is glossy, which is good for doing photo or video work (that's what I do), and OK for everything else. Personally, I like it, but some people are firmly against it. Also, the screen is EXTREMELY bright. Even with the brightness turned all the way down, it's brighter than my iBook at full brightness. The iMac has 3 USB ports, a Firewire 400 port and a Firewire 800 port. There are two more USB ports on the keyboard, one of which is reserved for the mouse and one for anything else but devices that need power form the USB port (iPods, some scanners, ect.). in my opinion, it could use a bit more USB ports, but you can buy an expander. The keyboard itself is great, now when I use other keyboards they're just not the same. I would not recommend the bluetooth keyboard because it lacks the number keypad. The mouse is great. You can program the 4 buttons (left, right, scroll wheel, and side buttons) to do whatever you want them to do. The right and left click buttons are both preset as the primary click as default but you can change that in system preferences. I don't use the built in iSight that often, but some may use it for web chatting.
