Angel Fire East: Fitting Conclusion

Angel Fire East is the third in Terry Brook's "Knight of the Word" trilogy. Again, Nest Freemark and John Ross meet to confront and foil the Void. In this book, the characterizations are so well drawn that we can predict their future actions. And we are made to care very deeply for the characters and what happens to them. The morph is a fascinating concept -- a creature of strong magic without any preponderance towards good or evil. John and Nest must sway the morph to the side of the Word -- or at least prevent it from joining the Void. The suspense is often so intense that the book must be put down after a chapter rather than be continued with. Ax excellent and compelling conclusion to the trilogy.
