Author's Review
The American Spectator offers reasoned political and social commentary from a distinctly libertarian/conservative perspective. Editor-in-Chief and Founder, R. Emmett Tyrell has assembled a collection of entertaining columnists who write on the issues of the day as well as reviewing the arts, literature, and "the talkies" (movies). More hard-hitting than the National Review or The Weekly Standard, The American Spectator goes after the big story with a take-no-prisoners philosophy. It's "troopergate" expose initiated the Paula Jones lawsuit, which led to the impeachment of the president.
Ben Stein's Diary is a monthly feature by the noted actor, raconteur,
writer, and host of the popular TV show, Win Ben Stein's Money, is not to be missed. Also, any review by Florence King, who frequently appears in The American Spectator, is worth the price of the issue.
