Pros: In-depth articles that report outside the mainstream.
Cons: Not enough Clinton bashing!!!
Review: If you are a right thinking American, then The American Spectator is the mag for you! No nonsense articles detailing occurrences that are not covered by mainstream media give readers of this outstanding publication a different take on the American...

Pros: Goes for the jugular. Entertaining writers. Digs for stories.
Cons: Published only once a month.
Review: The American Spectator offers reasoned political and social commentary from a distinctly libertarian/conservative perspective. Editor-in-Chief and Founder, R. Emmett Tyrell has assembled a collection of entertaining columnists who write on the...

Pros: Worthwhile material in every issue.
Cons: Not published frequently enough.
Review: American Spectator is THE true conservative magazine. While National Review has bogged itself down in authoritarianism & rancid religion, American Spectator has gone beyond this. Now, American Spectator is a Right-leaning magazine, which means it...

Pros: Tells it like it is, no sugar coating here.
Cons: I haven't found any.
Review: After reviewing this particular publication I have decided that not only should every American citizen be reading this, but if newspapers and other forms of media were to follow their example the American population would not be left in the dark about...

The American Spectator: Preaching to the Choir

|
Pros: Punchy, amusing, witty conservative politics and commentary
Cons: Won't convert anyone. Occasionally over-the-top
The Bottom Line: TAS is a monthly conservative review of partisan but entertaining conservative commentary. Strong writing and policy positions are often offset by a stridency that will leave many cold.
Review: A monthly magazine of conservative journalism, little in the American Spectator will serve to convince the unfaithful. Thats a shame, because there is a good deal of dispassionate argument in the Spectator that maintains a firm, reasoned ...

Pros: Great at exposing President Clinton; good humour
Cons: You'll hate this if he's your pal. Articles can be tough sledding
Review: The economy has bubbled along nicely during President Clinton's terms, but many people - on the left as well as the right - have been left profoundly uneasy with the man. Those on the left have mostly held their tongues, feeling that a Democrat in the...

Pros: fun,many good articles
Cons: some articles are nasty and biased beyond any degree of reasonableness
Review: I have subscribed to the American Spectator for several years. There is a lot of news and opinion that is not found in other magazines.Ben Stein articles are usually insightful and humorous. The movie reviews are not to my liking, and the book reviews...

Pros: You get a variety of opinions.
Cons: Sometimes the opinions expressed don't agree with your own.
Review: It is only my opinion that this magazine, along with many others, is now being published primarily as a voice for the controversial difference of the frustrated voter, non-voter, and in this case, "possible voter". No matter what state you...

Pros: intelligent, inciteful articles
