Purely Yours is Great

I am an experienced mother of 4 but this one was the first one I breastfeed. I was determined to breastfeed but I knew that meant I needed a pump. I purchased the Advent Isis hand held pump but after she was born I knew that if I was going to be successful that I would need an electric pump. I had read good things about Medela but it was out of my price range, so I settled for the Purely Yours for $186.00
I was a little worried when looking at the pieces I thought it might be difficult to put together but it was so easy. I followed the simple directions and it even came with a DVD player to get you started. The pump itself is a double electric pump. It can opperate with a/c power or 6 AA batteries. The pump came with an extra funnel and piece so that you can make a hand held pump too.  I also came with 6 bottles, a nice case and a cooler for the bottles you pump when you are away.
The pump works great. It has a mode where you can adjust the suction and the speed.  There is a base with grooves in it so once you are done pumping you can put the bottles in it and put your self back togehter without spilling the milk you pumped.  It effectivly pumps in half the time that a handheld pump would.
The only thing I do not like it when you do have to rely on using the pump with batteries it drains them very fast. I have had to replace the batteries several times when I have to pump and do not have battery power to rely on. I try to pump where I can plug it in most of the time though.
