Very disappointed

When my twenty-five year Norge went toes up, I wanted to replace it with a bottom freezer unit.

I bought this for the spacious, well-lit refrigerator and the size of the freezer.

When the refrigerator arrived, the first thing that happened was when the delivery man plugged it in, the interior lights blew out and it took hours to get cold. The freezer was working, so I thought it was just a design problem. The next day the refrigerator was barely cool, so I called the store where I bought it. They sent a repairman and he adjusted it. The unit never did get cool. I called again, and they said they'd send a repairman. I said, no, it was a defective product. I was told to contact the store.

So, with a less than a week old paperweight in the shape of a refrigerator, I went back to the store with the paperwork. The store told me they didn't have any more Amana refrigerators in stock and it would take two weeks to get another. Needless to say, I just selected another manufacturer's product and had it delivered the next day.

This was a major appliance and it was totally useless. It never should have left the factory. I'll never buy an Amana product again.
